The Great Gate

Rezidence Velká Brána is a project of a residential complex on the outskirts of the village of Horoměřice, within walking distance from its centre with a distance to Prague of about 10 kilometres. Velka Brana consists of 7 residential and 1 multifunctional building. A total of 195 apartments and several commercial spaces for services and small shops are proposed in the residence. The Velká Brána residence was built in 2 stages. In the first stage of the project, 122 apartments were designed and located in 7 low-rise buildings. The first stage was followed by the second stage, which consists of a separate project of a multifunctional building with an additional 73 flats of layout and several commercial spaces on the ground floor. This mixed-use building forms the gateway to the site. Most of the flats are designed with a balcony or terrace, with green front gardens located at the ground floor flats. The layout of the flats is realized from 1+kk to 4+kk. Each apartment includes its own cellar. Garage parking spaces for residents are designed in the underground floors, additional parking spaces for visitors are designed on the ground floor. The youngest residents of the residence will also find something to their liking, as the project includes several children's playgrounds. Velká Brána Residence also won the Architects' Award in the prestigious Real Estate Project of the Year 2016 competition. LOXIA provided the architectural study, zoning decision, building permit, implementation documentation and author's supervision.
