Zahrady nad Rokytkou is the first project near the Rokytka creek in Prague's Vysocany / Hloubetin. As architects and urban planners, we started working with this area at the end of 2004. At that time there was only greenery, a semi-abandoned gardening colony and a concrete area with an old tin hall. The Zahrady nad Rokytkou residential project consists of seven apartment buildings which were completed in 2008 and are located around Nepelova Street. The complex provides housing in 210 apartments that range from 1+kk to 3+kk. The buildings are designed with five floors above ground with six apartments on each floor, and one underground floor which has parking spaces, cellars and the technical facilities of the building. Some apartments also have balconies or terraces. The streets next to the buildings are lined with trees and there are plenty of parking spaces available on both sides of the street. In the middle of the north side, opposite Hana Maskova Street, there is a relaxation area with trees and greenery, benches and a modern clock. From here, a paved road leads to the Rokytka creek, where a pedestrian bridge could be created in the future, which would connect both banks of the creek. To the west there is a gardening colony, to the northeast there is a park and to the east there is a children’s playground. LOXIA provided the architectural study, planning and building permits, tender and execution documentation, up to and including the author's supervision.
