ROHAN CITY A

As part of an architectural workshop in 2019, we competed with the design of a multifunctional development in Rohan City A, in the heart of Rohan Island in Karlin, Prague. After the revitalization of a 25-hectare strip of land between the existing cycle path and the river, Rohan Island will be transformed into a large city-wide indispensable urban and recreational zone. The architectural competition at Rohan City A also addressed the possible incorporation of the future bridge connecting the Karlin area with Holesovice in Prague 7, which can be considered as another important urban element in the development of the wider centre of Prague. Our motto in the competition: “Live the city, live Prague, live Karlin! Life is movement and constant activity, and our design lives on through movement. The bridge can be constructed and incorporated at any time in our design. As a counterpoint to this bustling world, we are creating quiet courtyards and a park. And the Rohan Bridge? Will it be? Will it not be and when? At the beginning it was a big unknown and finally now it is one of the key pillars of our proposal. 

LOXIA is the main architect and main engineer from the phase of the architectural study, planning and building permits and elaboration of execution documentation to author's supervision for BLOCK 2 and the architect of building B1c from the phase of the architectural study, planning and building permits and elaboration of execution documentation to author's supervision for BLOCK 1.
